Emanuela Vunge joined PRIME Advogados, the exclusive member of VdA Legal Partners in Angola, in 2025 as Managing Partner.

Her areas of focus are Public and Tax Law, including tax litigation; her specialisations include Natural Resources, Energy, Oil and Gas and Corporate Compliance.

She was Compliance Officer for over a decade at one of the largest multinational oil companies in Angola and the United Kingdom, becoming a highly experienced specialist in compliance programmes focusing on oil and gas transactions.

She has acquired extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in conducting due diligence and analysing the risk of non-compliance with applicable regulations, as well as the implications of tax legislation on M&A transactions.

Throughout her career she has advised on various tax issues, with a focus on tax and customs matters. She regularly advises national and multinational companies on various transactions, specialising in tax structuring, tax advisory, tax processes and tax compliance. She also represents clients before Angolan courts in disputes relating to income tax, VAT, property tax and stamp duty.

She has been a frequent speaker at numerous national and international conferences on Public Law and Tax Law issues and is the author of several works on Public Law and Civil Law.

She had the honour of being elected by the Angolan parliament to the Superior Council of the Judiciary of Angola, as a distinguished lawyer.
