Tom is an experienced mediator who has helped numerous parties find solutions without further assistance from the court system.Tom listens carefully. He then uses that understanding to help the parties assess their options realistically in searching for a resolution. To do this, Tom relies on many years litigating complex commercial disputes across the country for both plaintiffs and defendants, first at a large international firm and then at a leading litigation boutique. Tom also relies on the lessons from his early mentor Professor Roger Fisher, author of Getting to Yes, while working at the Harvard Negotiation Project and Fisher’s for‑profit consulting firm. Tom now teaches advanced mediation and sits on several court mediation rosters.
