Career

Alessandra has more than 18 years of experience in Labour Law and is recognised for her technical expertise and strategic approach to complex and sensitive labour matters. She advises Brazilian and multinational companies on the full spectrum of employment issues, from day-to-day advisory work to high-stakes disputes and strategic litigation, including cases before the Superior Labour Court and other higher courts. 

Alongside her legal practice, Alessandra has been a professor of Labour Law for 15 years, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She holds a PhD in Labour Law, and her academic work complements her practice by providing a strong analytical foundation for the development of creative and responsible solutions for clients. 

She is the author of the book Collective Bargaining and the Right to Strike in the Light of Law and Economics (2022, title translated from Portuguese) and of more than 50 academic articles. Her research covers topics such as freedom of association, collective bargaining, Law and Economics, non-employment forms of service provision, digital labour platforms and digital labour law.

Education

Alessandra obtained her LL.B. from Centro Universitário Curitiba (UniCuritiba) (2003–2007) and completed a specialisation in Labour Law at the same institution (2008–2009). She also holds a Master’s degree (2009–2011) and a PhD in Law (2013–2016) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR). During her doctoral studies, she conducted part of her research as a visiting doctoral researcher at Fordham University School of Law (2015).
