Career

Born and raised in South Florida, John Foster is an attorney with experience in state appellate, federal, and corporate legal matters. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law and holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

John began his legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk to Judge Melanie May at the Fourth District Court of Appeal, where he assisted in drafting opinions and conducted legal research on a wide range of legal issues at the appellate level.

During his studies in law school, John interned for Magistrate Judge Alicia Valle in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and contributed to matters involving a wide range of legal areas including administrative law, contract law, and criminal law. Earlier, he gained in-house experience during an internship at Fresh Del Monte Produce. There, John supported compliance and contract related projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Bringing a perspective shaped by work across appellate, federal, and corporate settings, John is focused on litigation as he continues his legal career at Diaz Reus.
