Omar is a Senior Associate at Sainz and has extensive experience in antitrust and market regulation, particularly in the telecommunications, technology, and media sectors. His professional backround includes having serving as Director of Proceedings at the Economic Competition Unit of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT), where he was responsible for handling cases related to monopolistic practices in the content distribution and licensing markets, wholesale and retail telephony services, and airtime distribution.

At the IFT, Omar also served as Director and Deputy General Director to one of the Commissioners, where he participated in merger control proceedings, sanctions for monopolistic practices, jurisdictional disputes, asymmetric regulation, as well as in the issuance of various guidelines and administrative provisions.
