Partner

Javier is a partner based in CCN’s Tijuana office. He has extensive experience advising clients on labor, real estate, foreign investment and manufacturing operations matters.​

Throughout his legal career, Javier has handled many complex cross-border labor litigation cases, as well as terminations, international relocations of employees, and repatriations of senior employees.​

Javier routinely works with the mergers and acquisitions group to oversee labor and employment due diligence aspects of transactions. He also works on labor and employment disclosures and other provisions in asset or stock purchase agreements.​

Recently, Javier has dedicated much of his time to advising clients on the new rules for collective bargaining and union representation in Mexico. ​He works extensively with clients on labor and employment compliance.

Before joining CCN, he worked as a lawyer at Cervantes-Quijano (1994–2009), where he handled various corporate and commercial matters.
