Career

As a partner at CCN, Mario’s practice focuses on the representation of foreign investors in Mexico, particularly in cross-border corporate, transactional, and real estate matters.

For over 20 years, Mario has represented companies in the manufacturing, agriculture, and automotive industries throughout Mexico.​ He is creative and enjoys working closely with clients in navigating the constantly changing landscape of foreign investment in Mexico.​

Mario is also the author of a book and several articles in specialized publications on topics such as biotechnology and genomics, intellectual property, foreign investment, and international trade.​

Mario earned the first prize in Mexico’s National Legal Essay Contest in 2002.​

Early in his career, he served in the public sector as a staff member at Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies (1992–1993), the Federal Senate (1994–1995), and the Federal Energy Department (1996–1999).
