Senior Associate

Mónica is a Senior Associate at Consortium Legal – Nicaragua with 10 years of experience providing legal advice in the banking, corporate, Fintech, insurance, and reinsurance sectors. Throughout her career, she has worked both in national banks and law firms, advising and participating in large-scale financial transactions between national and international banks with local clients, including due diligence processes and the structuring of credit agreements with their guarantees.

She has experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector, advising foreign clients on the development of their operations in Nicaragua, as well as in Fintech, assisting international clients seeking to enter the Nicaraguan market.

Mónica has participated in mergers and acquisitions between national and international companies in the banking and insurance sectors, in the formalization of multimillion-dollar loans granted by foreign financial institutions to local companies, and in the incorporation and licensing of regulated entities supervised by financial regulators.
