Andrés is a Partner at Consortium Legal – Costa Rica with more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance law, specializing in the retail banking sector. Throughout his career, he has supervised or directly participated in tens of thousands of individual retail loan transactions, providing comprehensive legal advice to some of the region’s largest private banks as well as private investors.

His expertise includes the structuring, review, and execution of credit agreements, secured and unsecured guarantees, and regulatory processes related to financial operations. In addition, Andrés advises on the implementation of compliance and risk management programs, ensuring financial institutions meet banking, credit, and consumer protection regulations.
