Associate

José Andrés is an Associate at Consortium Legal – Costa Rica with more than 13 years of experience in Labor and Immigration Law. He specializes in the coordination of immigration processes in Costa Rica and Latin America for multinational companies and provides comprehensive legal advice to HR departments on labor and compliance matters.

He has 8 years of experience advising corporate clients on labor relations, negotiations, and conflict resolution. Previously, he served as in-house counsel for a medical industry company, supporting disciplinary processes, contract drafting, policy review, clinical protocols, and corporate compliance, including the implementation of codes of conduct and consultancy agreements with healthcare professionals.

In labor matters, José Andrés has advised directors, managers, and HR teams on the drafting of employment contracts, addenda, internal policies and procedures, as well as in investigations related to workplace harassment and misconduct. He also participates as a trainer and speaker on labor and immigration issues in corporate workshops, seminars, and regional webinars.
