Career

Catalina received her law degree from Universidad del Rosario (Bogota, Colombia) with emphasis in Commercial Law in 2013. In the same year, she completed her diploma in International Business Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogota, Colombia). Subsequently, she obtained her degree as a specialist in Commercial Law from the same institution (Bogota, Colombia) in 2015.

Catalina was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study law at the Colombian Diplomatic Mission in Washington D.C., United States, in 2012. She has also worked in important local firms advising national and foreign clients in corporate, contract, tax and financial law.

At OlarteMoure, Catalina began her practice by participating in the creation of strategies associated with the defence and protection of intellectual property rights, specifically in the advice and litigation of patents for companies engaged in research and development. She currently leads the Compliance practice advising multinationals, mostly pharmaceutical companies, on compliance and mitigation of risks associated with anti-corruption, transnational bribery, FCPA and Anti-bribery Act issues. She is also actively involved in highly complex regulatory matters for the pharmaceutical industry from a legal and practical perspective.
