Francisca Corti

Partner of Carey and co-head of the firm's Labor and Corporate Immigration Group. She also leads Carey Visas. She advises national and multinational companies on their day-to-day operations, on matters such as hiring and termination of employees (both individual and collective), development and implementation of human resources policies, manuals and procedures, compensation and benefit plans for executives and workers, subcontracting and outsourcing, consulting contracts, non-competition agreements, labor audits, internal investigations, global mobility programs and treatment of expatriates, processing of work permits and visas, and social security. She also specializes in transactional labor matters related to restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and labor due diligence processes.

Francisco Arce

Partner of Carey and co-head of the firm's Labor Group. His practice is focused on providing legal advice mainly to employers, in labor related areas including employment, unions, collective bargaining, social security, as well as labor litigation.

Valentina Kuscevic

Counsel of Carey's Labour and Corporate Immigration Group. She is also part of Carey Visas. Her practice area focuses on employment, labour and immigration law, advising national and foreign companies in matters such as hiring and termination of employees' processes, outsourcing and externalization of services, employment matters in corporate restructuring processes, including M&A and due diligence.Likewise, Valentina focuses on the resolution of legal matters associated to cross-border corporate restructurings as well as the structure and implementation of international outbound and inbound assignments, particularly, expatriate processes and planning of immigration solutions (visa and work permits processing) that suits the client’s needs.

Among its client base industries are airlines, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, construction, mining, telecoms, retail, and banking and finance, among others.

Carey has extensive experience in hiring and termination processes (for individuals and groups of employees), compensation packages (including stock plans), auditing and legal compliance, subcontracting, corporate policies, labor due diligences in mergers and acquisitions, internal investigations, social security related matters and taxation of employees.

The firm actively participates in collective bargaining processes with companies from a wide range of industries, and also advises clients on labour lawsuits and claims, including litigation and administrative procedures stemming from occupational accidents and diseases.

In terms of outsourcing, Carey provides day-to-day advice to owners and contractors on projects related to these matters, identifying and mitigating risks and legal liabilities.
