EXPERIENCE

• Advised International Finance Corporation (IFC) as local counsel in connection with a EUR 90 million loan to Wave, a leading mobile money company, supporting the expansion of digital economy solutions in West Africa. Scope of work included review of finance documents, drafting of local security instruments, and issuance of legal opinions.

• Advised International Finance Corporation (IFC) as local counsel on a EUR 67 million financing to a multinational hospitality group for the acquisition of hotel facilities in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire and the refinancing of existing debt.

• Advising Česká exportní banka, a.s. and Komerční banka, a.s. on a EUR 35 million loan to the Government of Senegal for the development of a regional airports project.

• Advised the Solevo Group on its aggregate USD 175 million financing package, including revolving credit, term loans, and a bond issuance arranged by Standard Chartered Bank, Mauritius Commercial Bank, and FirstRand Bank (RMB), with the Bank of New York Mellon acting as facility agent and trustee.

• Advised Chubb Services UK on Senegal law issues relating to its acquisition of a Mauritian target company that owned assets in Senegal

• Advised Milvik on data protection laws in Senegal

• Advising two Czech banks on the financing of 7 regional airports in Senegal

• Advised Marriott for a major hotel project in Senegal Chubb Services UK on Senegalese law issues relating to the acquisition of a Mauritian target company that had assets in Senegal
