Diego draws on a wealth of experience in high-stakes bankruptcies, commercial litigation, and trust and estate disputes to achieve successful resolutions to his clients’ most pressing problems.
A trusted advocate and advisor with substantial experience litigating matters involving a broad variety of industries, areas of law, and clients, Diego has substantial experience representing his clients in all phases of cases pending before state and federal trial courts, federal bankruptcy courts, and arbitral tribunals. Before joining Shartsis Friese’s Litigation Department in 2019, Diego began his career in the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton’s renowned restructuring group, then served as a judicial law clerk at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. At Shartsis Friese, Diego has represented a broad range of clients, including government agencies, cryptocurrency investors, real estate professionals and their businesses, trustees and beneficiaries of family trusts, and wine industry concerns. Diego draws on that diverse professional background to formulate and implement practical strategies that allow his clients to achieve their goals in a cost-effective manner.
