Career
Partner Ali Panjwani is co-chair of Pryor Cashman’s Corporate Group, chair of the Securities + Corporate Finance Practice, and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Focusing on securities and capital markets, he represents clients in a wide variety of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, initial public offerings, public and private financings, and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting. He also handles general corporate matters.
Ali represents public and private small- to mid-cap companies, investment banks, investment funds and venture capitalists. He is a veteran of hundreds of private placement transactions for issuers, placement agents and investors from a broad industry spectrum. Ali's deals involve many types of equity and equity-linked securities, such as common and preferred stock, warrants and convertible notes.
Matching Opportunities and Investors
Whether handling an investment in energy or advising on technology, Ali is focused on each fund’s or individual’s bottom line. His deep knowledge of market liquidity and understanding of his clients’ objectives enable him to assess and disclose the risks and benefits associated with each potential deal.
Ali’s representation in the technology space provides value to companies as they seek to reduce capital expenditures through cloud-computing ventures that preserve data security while offering flexible storage solutions. In the energy sector, he is keenly aware of market swings that impact conservation-focused and exploration-oriented strategic ventures. By staying on top of today’s energy-related issues and market conditions, Ali effectively guides clients as they look to maximize traditional and alternative energy investments.
Company executives and corporate counsel appreciate Ali’s practical, responsive “get the job done right” approach to their matters, which begins with understanding his clients’ goals. He methodically addresses these goals at every stage of a transaction in order to close the best deal.
