Drew McEwen focuses on state and local tax controversies and planning across the US. Drew’s background as a CPA has helped him successfully advocate for his clients throughout the controversy cycle: from audit defense to appellate court proceedings. Drew represents clients of all sizes—including the largest multi-national companies and small family-owned businesses—with complex transaction tax and income/franchise tax issues. He has helped his clients obtain tax refunds and audit reductions exceeding $160 million. Drew represents clients in industries that include oil and gas (all phases), electric utilities, manufacturing, retail, banking and financial services, insurance, telecom, and data processing.
