Career

Joe McCorkle represents a variety of clients, ranging from privately owned businesses and individuals to publicly traded companies and governmental entities. Over the course of his 39- year legal career, he has represented clients in all sorts of business and regulatory disputes in federal and state courts, in bankruptcy courts, before federal and state regulatory agencies, and in mediation. Joe also represents owners, contractors, subcontractors, architects, sureties, and lenders in a variety of construction disputes, including Miller Act, Little Miller Act, bond, lien, breach of contract, competitive bid, and professional negligence claims. He is often involved in matters that pose substantial litigation risks to his clients, and he is dedicated to helping them eliminate or minimize those risks in an efficient and effective manner. Joe is married to the former Talmadge (Tammy) Williams and they have three adult sons, Thomson (Holly), Andrew, Walter, and a 3-year old granddaughter, Josephine.
