Career

Irving Jones focuses on internal investigations for regulated industries and litigating products liability, casualty, and medical malpractice matters. He represents corporate and utility clients across the southeast in both federal and state courts, including U.S. District Courts in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama and the Northern District of Georgia. Irving provides strategic counsel and advocacy for clients, helping them navigate high-stakes litigation and regulatory challenges with practical solutions and a deep understanding of Alabama and Georgia’s legal landscapes.

Irving is also a leader in the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. His many leadership positions include chairing Balch’s Susan B. Livingston Boot Camp for Success in 2021 and 2022 and becoming the firm’s inaugural participant for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder Program.

Before practicing law, Irving was a counterintelligence agent for the National Security Agency where he conducted polygraph examinations and investigations.
