Career

Ryan Hodinka focuses on commercial, products liability, and employment litigation and has extensive ‘experience representing some of the country's best-known companies in high-stakes litigation. Notable matters include successfully defending a poultry company during a three-and-a-half week civil RICO jury trial and defending a nuclear project owner facing over one billion dollars in claims by an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. Ryan handles class actions and commercial cases involving claims for fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, and regularly represents clients in cases involving trade secrets and non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. Ryan also has significant experience reducing e-discovery costs on matters with voluminous electronically-stored information.

Before joining Balch, Ryan clerked in the United States District Court the Middle District of Alabama. While at Furman University, Ryan was a four-year letterman on the school's Division I baseball team, and after graduation, he played two seasons of minor league baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals' organization.
