Jon Trotta focuses his practice on regulatory and transactional matters in the electric and natural gas industries. He has significant experience appearing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in rulemaking, regulatory and litigated proceedings.  Jon advises energy industry stakeholders on matters involving electric transmission and interconnection, wholesale power markets, electric and gas tariffs and rates, and operational issues.  Jon’s clients benefit from his unique perspective as a former FERC regulator.

Jon brings to bear his experience as a former Attorney-Advisor at FERC. Jon's clients include electric and natural gas utilities, natural gas pipeline shippers, renewable and other energy project developers, and large end-users of electricity and natural gas.
