Coordinator of Environmental Law and Climate Change
Solange has more than 15 years of experience in advisory work, administrative and judicial litigation, environmental licensing, sustainability, socio-environmental and climate risk management, and M&A transactions. She advises companies from various sectors of the economy, with an emphasis on renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, agribusiness, waste management and sanitation. She supports clients in decarbonization projects, energy transition, payment for environmental services, and the purchase and sale of carbon credits. She also assists in crisis management and high-complexity negotiations with public authorities, environmental agencies, and Indigenous and traditional communities.
A graduate of the Federal Fluminense University, Solange holds a Master’s degree from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro in Law, Public Policy and Sustainability, a postgraduate degree in Environmental Law from PUC-Rio, and certifications in Climate Change and Energy Transition; Corporate Sustainability, Regulation and Transparency in ESG; and Strategic Carbon Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation.
She is a member of UBAA (Brazilian Union of Environmental Advocacy), LACLIMA (Latin American Climate Lawyers Initiative for Mobilization Action), and Maritime SheEO. Member of the ESG committee of the Brazilian Institute of Business Law (IBRADEMP).
