Position
Pedro is a partner and a member of the mining (Band 1) and venture capital (Band 1) areas. In addition, he is a member of the corporate and M&A and investment funds practices.
Career
He specializes in mining project development, project finance, and corporate and financing structuring for mining project development, as well as mining agreements and regulatory matters and environmental permits.
In addition, he actively works in structuring investment funds and representing local and international fund managers. In venture capital matters, he represents local and foreign VC investors, start-ups, CVC funds and incubators in the legal structuring of funds or investment vehicles, in the development and execution of internationalization plans, international M&A VC transactions, and in financing rounds.
In the academic field, he was a professor of the “Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital” course for the Master of Laws, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He regularly participates as speaker at the mining sessions of Universidad de Chile, especially in lectures focused on the importance of the lithium industry in Chile and was professor of “Law in Asia” and “Law and Investment in Asia”, at the Diego Portales University and of “Chinese Law” at Universidad de Chile.
He worked as a foreign associate at Global Law Office, a prominent law firm with offices in Beijing and Shanghai, China.

Pedro is the First Vice President of the Chilean Pacific Foundation and a member of the board of Weg Administradora General de Fondos (AGF), Administradora Mater, Administradora Bridge, Empresa Eléctrica Blanco, Aaktei Energía S.A., Lácteos Matthei, and Colegio San Lorenzo. He is also very active in sectoral associations: he is member of the Mining Committee of CESCO, of The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law, and ACAFI (Chilean Association of Investment Fund Managers).
