Career

Maria Carolina is an attorney in the International Trade practice at Veirano Advogados. She earned her law degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in 2010 and has extensive experience in trade defense, international trade, and customs law. Throughout her career, she has worked on numerous trade remedy cases and provides strategic legal advice to companies on regulatory and compliance matters related to foreign trade.

Her practice includes advising domestic and international companies in the chemical, petrochemical, consumer goods, footwear, paper, automotive, and food processing industries, among others, with a focus on developing legal solutions aligned with Brazilian legislation and World Trade Organization (WTO) rules. She is also involved in projects that require technical engagement with Brazilian public authorities, particularly on matters related to international trade and trade defense, including interactions with the Trade Defense Department (DECOM) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), and other relevant agencies.
