Heloisa do Amaral focuses her practice on complex business contracts, infrastructure projects and corporate governance.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure industry, especially in heavy construction projects in Brazil and Latin America. Ms. Amaral was responsible for the negotiation and contract management of important infrastructure projects, in their various areas, such as power plants (hydro, thermal - gas, steam and biomass, nuclear, wind, solar), oil and gas projects (oil platforms and vessels, refineries, gas pipelines, regasification terminals), mining (mines, tailings dams), transport (urban mobility on rails, railways, highways and road concessions, ports and airports), industrial plants (cellulose, green plastic, assembly plants, etc.), iron and steel (metallurgy, aluminum, pig iron) and sanitation (dams, water and/or sewage treatment plants).
She has specialized knowledge in infrastructure contracts (such as construction, EPC, EPC-M, Turn-key, FIDIC/NEC/JCT/AIA/ICC standards, Project Alliances, Built to Suit, BOT, BOO and structured projects in general) and contractual management of heavy construction projects, both in the private and public sectors.
Ms. Amaral served for more than two decades as in-house legal counsel and was deputy general counsel at Andrade Gutierrez where she worked for over a decade. She has developed significant experience in legal department management, corporate and compliance governance, crisis management and internal investigations.
She also represents clients in judicial and arbitration procedures in civil matters pertaining to business contracts, corporate matters, and infrastructure projects.
