Career

Isabel Hering works with intellectual property, commercial agreements, entertainment and information technology, with emphasis on data protection and privacy projects, digital law, internet, software and complex technology transactions.

She has expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements involving copyrights for brands, actors and digital influencers, and publishing companies, in addition to contracts involving patents, cultivars, genetic material, Research and Development activities and technology transfer, having been responsible for nationalizing the technology transfer agreements of the British government (Lambert Toolkit).

In her digital law practice, develops across-the-board data assessments and reviews policies, terms of use and agreements under the light of standards data protection legal framework, drafting templates and awareness campaigns for thorough compliance.

Prior to joining the Intellectual Property and Information Technology team at Veirano Advogados, Isabel worked for more than four years in the Intellectual Property and Life Sciences departments of a boutique law firm, and for almost two years, on a secondment basis, in a multinational pharmaceutical company. Previously, she worked in the entertainment industry, advising a non-profit association on international classical music events. In addition, Isabel has a wide international experience, with academic sojourns in France, Switzerland and Japan.
