Position

Catherine is a senior counsel in Walkers' London Finance and Corporate Group, advising on a range of matters under Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands law.

Having trained and practised with a Magic Circle firm in the City, Catherine has experience of both onshore and offshore advice – her practice focuses on corporate and finance matters under Bermuda law, and British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law corporate matters.

She grew up in Bermuda and has been admitted in the jurisdiction since 2021 and advises on a range of transactional and advisory work, including debt and equity capital markets transactions and banking and finance matters involving Bermuda companies.

Catherine's BVI and Cayman Islands law practice focuses on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, investments and redomiciliations involving private BVI and Cayman Islands companies.

Career

Prior to joining Walkers in August 2021, Catherine worked as an associate in the corporate team of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in London where she advised private and publicly listed companies, financial institutions and administrators on a variety of corporate and capital markets transactions including acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, rights issues, placings and demergers.

Catherine also spent six months on secondment to the M&A Legal team of the Group Corporate division of Barclays Bank PLC.
