James Lydeard is a partner at Walkers in the Jersey Banking & Finance team.

James' core focus is private credit, fund, leveraged, real estate and acquisition finance. He also advises on structured finance and restructuring matters.

His expertise spans complex cross-border deals, structured finance issuances across various asset classes including cryptocurrency and carbon credits, as well as distressed lending and non-contentious restructuring.

James joins us from another leading offshore firm, where he practised from both their Cayman Islands and Jersey offices. He has 13 years’ experience advising clients on a wide range of matters and has acted for financial institutions, sponsors and businesses on a wide range of banking and finance matters.
