Position

Craig Macleod is a senior associate in Walkers' Insolvency & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Jersey.

He primarily specialises in trusts litigation with an international dimension, advising on contentious and non-contentious trust matters for both trustees and beneficiaries alike. He also advises on a range of commercial and corporate disputes.

Career

Craig has acted on a broad range of trust matters including breach of trust and fraud claims, applications to court for directions and issues concerning trust administration, trustee disclosure applications, Beddoe hearings and more.

He regularly assists with contested applications and hearings before the Royal Court and Court of Appeal in Jersey, and has assisted with appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council from Jersey.

Craig also has diverse experience of Jersey commercial litigation, including advising on civil fraud, asset-tracing and recovery, Norwich Pharmacal applications, breach of contract claims, corporate disputes and financial sanctions.

Craig qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2024.

Before joining Walkers in September 2019, Craig trained and qualified at Burness Paull LLP, a leading tier-1 ranked Scottish commercial firm, where he gained a broad range of experience across financial and commercial disputes, private client and tax.
