Ruth Donnellan is a member of Walkers Investment Funds and Corporate Law team with experience of advising on complex M&A deals and on all aspects of corporate advice under Jersey law.

Ruth works with onshore counsel to advise clients on Jersey law aspects of cross-border M&A transactions, as well as corporate restructuring, reorganisations and migrations.

She has also advised on M&A deals involving regulated financial services businesses in Jersey, and on transactions involving Special Purpose Acquisition Companies.

Ruth advises on bespoke regulatory issues including questions around economic substance.

Ruth has also advised start-ups on funding and subscription arrangements.

Prior to joining Walkers in 2019, Ruth worked with Beauchamps, a large commercial law firm based in Dublin, on its corporate team focusing on M&A, restructuring, regulatory matters and company secretary work.

Prior to qualifying as an Irish Solicitor in 2016, she worked for KBC Bank as part of its restructuring team.
