Asset Management and Investment Funds

Damien helps asset managers, depositaries and fund administrators with their day-to-day regulatory obligations and is a partner in Walkers' Asset Management & Investment Funds Practice Group.

Damien advises on establishing, authorising, distributing and operating all types of Irish investment funds, including Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) and alternative investment funds (AIFs).

Previously Damien worked in Dublin for a range of funds, fund sponsors, management companies and fund service providers as a financial services lawyer. Before this, he was EU Legal Director for US broker dealer Charles Schwab, advising on various EU fund and asset management-related issues. Before that he worked in the Financial Services department of a well-known Dublin-based law firm for 12 years.

Damien is a member of various Irish funds industry working groups and has also lectured on the Law Society of Ireland's Finance Law Diploma programme.
