Partner

Max Tetlow is a Partner in the Corporate department of Appleby’s Bermuda office.

Max advises on corporate, commercial, financing and regulatory matters with particular experience in (re)insurance company/intermediary and investment fund transactions. His practice includes corporate structuring and governance, equity and debt issuances (including regulatory capital), joint ventures, listings, mergers and acquisitions, investments and exits, shareholder arrangements, restructuring, regulatory compliance and licensing advice.

Max also assists local and international clients with lending, structured finance (including insurance-linked securities), fund finance, asset finance and debt capital markets mandates.

Previously, Max worked in the London and Bermuda offices of another offshore law firm and prior to that was a member of the Corporate/M&A/Capital Markets department of Clayton Utz, Sydney.

Max obtained an LLB at the University of Southampton and completed his LPC at BPP, Holborn. To requalify in Australia, Max undertook the Diploma in Law at the University of Sydney. Max is a member of the Bermuda Bar and is also admitted as a solicitor of New South Wales.
