Paula Mello advises domestic and international clients on environmental and sustainability litigation, regulatory matters, and environmental due diligence in transactional contexts.

She has extensive experience on environmental licensing, management of contaminated sites, pollutant emissions, carbon capture and storage (CCS), forestry, and climate policy.

Paula routinely represents clients in negotiations with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, including in the context of Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC) agreements. She is also actively engaged in the legislative process, having contributed to the drafting of bills related to environmental and sustainability initiatives.

A recognized thought leader in the field, Paula is the author of a book on environmental protection and regularly lectures on ESG-related topics at the Pontifical Catholic University. She is a frequent speaker at industry forums on environmental law and sustainability.
