Daanish Pasricha is an associate in the Firm’s Business Law Group and Fintech Group in Toronto. He maintains a general corporate and commercial practice, with a focus on assisting clients navigate complex Canadian regulatory requirements across various industries including Fintech, Financial Services and Insurance. In particular, Daanish has advised clients on the registration of crypto-trading platforms in Canada, consumer protection requirements, requirements for insurance brokerages and insurers to establish operations across Canada and anti-money laundering requirements. Daanish has also published numerous articles and blog posts on topics such as digital assets, cryptocurrency, anti-money laundering and banking and financial regulation.

Daanish received his J.D. from Queen’s University in 2020. During law school, Daanish was a volunteer with the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal and an oralist in the Bowman Tax Moot. Prior to studying law, Daanish obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where he graduated honours with distinction. Through the university’s co-op program, Daanish completed six internships across a wide range of industries including banking, manufacturing, wealth management, insurance, and intellectual property.
