Alejandro has more than 30 years of experience facilitating billions of dollars of investments, financings and complex transactions across a wide range of sectors in Latin America. Since joining HuntonAK, Alejandro has represented lenders and investors in over 100 transactions in many jurisdictions including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. Alejandro has represented clients in project and corporate financings and equity investments in the energy, water, ports, telecommunications, retail, agribusiness and financial services industries, among others.

Alejandro worked 16 years at the International Finance Corporation, where he served for five years as IFC’s assistant general counsel for Latin America and the Caribbean, before joining the firm in 2019. In this role, he led IFC’s legal team responsible for all IFC’s debt, equity and advisory operations in that region.
