Career

Brit is co-head of Hunton's Structured Finance and Securitization practice and one of the market's leading practitioners in MSR financing. She advises clients across a broad range of asset securitization and structured finance transactions.

Her practice focuses on representing servicers, investment banks, funds and other lenders in connection with securitizations and other financings of residential and commercial mortgage servicing rights — including the related servicing income and advance receivables — as well as purchases of excess servicing spread.

She also counsels sponsors, underwriters and other market participants in connection with residential mortgage and other asset-backed securitizations.

In addition to her practice leadership role, Brit serves as co-chair of the firm's financial services industry team and as co-chair of the firm's inclusion committee.

Prior to joining the firm, Brit served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Liam O'Grady of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and previously practiced at a law firm in Manama, Bahrain.
