Ali is a seasoned environmental lawyer, representing clients under a wide range of federal and state environmental laws on complex regulatory matters arising from the rulemaking process and associated litigation to permitting, compliance, and enforcement defense; navigating significant site cleanup and cost recovery matters; and advising on high-stakes environmental transactions.

Ali supports critical energy and water infrastructure projects from inception, throughout permitting and development phases, and continuing into commercial operations and decommissioning stages. She offers full-service environmental support for energy transition projects, such as carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration projects, leveraging her deep expertise in environmental infrastructure permitting and litigation—including under the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and Endangered Species Act (ESA) cross-cutting reviews.

She counsels clients on brownfield and contaminated sites under Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as well as various state cleanup frameworks.

Ali leverages her robust environmental experience to help clients in transactional matters to identify and mitigate risks to core project milestones, allocate environmental liabilities, and navigate project value creation opportunities in voluntary and compliance environmental attribute markets.
