Career

Tad's practice encompasses representing parties in both out-of-court and bankruptcy court financial restructurings across the country. His diverse client base includes private equity firms, hedge funds, secured lenders, investors, debtors, unsecured creditors, boards of directors, and various official and ad hoc committees. Additionally, Tad is experienced in structuring distressed acquisitions, financing, and real estate transactions, and he advises clients on insolvency and counterparty risks related to mergers, acquisitions, and general corporate transactions.

Tad’s representations this year include Robertshaw US Holding Corp. (counsel for debtors), The Container Store (counsel for debtors), TreeSap Farms LLC (counsel for debtors), Cutera Inc. (counsel for debtors), Exela Technologies Inc. (counsel for debtors), Diamond Sports Group (counsel to first lien lender group), CURO Group Holdings Corp. (counsel to creditor and significant litigation counterparty), ConvergeOne Holdings (counsel to sponsor and lender to global IT company) and Envision Healthcare Corp. (counsel to lender and agent of asset-based lending credit facility), all of which filed chapter 11 in the Southern District of Texas.

Tad also represents Lodging Enterprises, LLC (counsel for debtors) in its chapter 11 in the District of Kansas, a bank and arbitration party in a real estate investment company that filed bankruptcy in the District of Delaware, and the purchaser of assets in Prospect Medical and agent lender in Harvest Food both chapter 11 cases filed in the Northern District of Texas.
