Career

Tad is co-leader of the firm’s national Bankruptcy/Restructuring practice group. His practice encompasses representing parties in both out-of-court and bankruptcy court financial restructurings across the country. His clients include private equity firms, hedge funds, secured lenders, investors, debtors, unsecured creditors, boards of directors, and official and ad hoc committees. Tad also has significant experience structuring distressed acquisitions, financings, and real estate transactions, and advises on insolvency and counterparty risk in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

This year, Tad has represented the debtors in the chapter 11 cases of ModivCare Inc., Maverick Gaming, Exela Technologies Inc., Wolfspeed, Inc., TreeSap Farms LLC, Robertshaw US Holding Corp., Cutera Inc., and The Container Store, among others, each filed in the Southern District of Texas. He also represents Lodging Enterprises, LLC as debtor’s counsel in its chapter 11 case in the District of Kansas, as well as the purchaser of assets in Prospect Medical and the agent lender in Harvest Food, both chapter 11 cases in the Northern District of Texas. In addition, Tad represented a private equity sponsor in the out-of-court reorganization of a food products company and a lender in a structured Article 9 foreclosure transaction.
