Roland’s practice focuses on employment and labor law. Roland has exclusively handled employment cases since 1992. Roland’s experience includes handling cases of first impression in California involving class actions, PAGA matters, non-compete, non-solicitation and employee raiding cases, discrimination, harassment, disability, wage and hour, and Title III website accessibility cases. He has experience trying class and PAGA claims in California, and has obtained numerous favorable trial and arbitration decisions for employers. Roland regularly practices in state and federal courts and JAMS arbitrations in California. He is consistently recognized among the top labor and employment attorneys in California by a wide variety of publications.

Roland is a contributing author to Hunton’s Employment & Labor Perspectives blog, and also serves as co-head of the firm’s Unfair Competition and Information Protection Task Force. Roland is admitted to practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th, 9th and 11th Circuits; U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Central Districts of California and Texas; and the Northern District of Georgia. He was also a law clerk for Acting Justice Carol H. Arber, New York State Supreme Court (1990).
