Ms. Kern represents businesses and individuals in administrative immigration proceedings before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of State. She helps employers in the creative, banking, manufacturing, biotech, retail, and other sectors to obtain E, H-1B, H-3, L-1, O-1, TN and P visas and green cards for key employees and to manage their sponsorship and I-9 compliance programs. She handles individual immigration cases in family-based, humanitarian and citizenship areas. She devotes more than 100 hours annually to immigration pro bono work through direct representation and mentoring. For more than 20 years, she has coordinated, trained, and mentored volunteers who interview immigrant victims of domestic violence for U visa and VAWA relief at the Montgomery County Family Justice Center. Ms. Kern is a contributing author to the Hunton Immigration Law Blog.
