Mike Absmeier focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in a broad array of areas, including energy, securities, contractual, construction, and partnership disputes.  Mike joined Gibbs & Bruns in 2005 and became a partner in 2012.  Mike serves as one of the firm’s co-managing partners.

Mike served as an active-duty Armor officer in the United States Army from 1998 to 2002, attaining the rank of Captain.  During that time, Mike served as an M1A1 tank platoon leader, a tank company executive officer, and a general staff officer. Mike currently serves on the Houston Bar Association’s Military and Veteran’s Committee.
