Mike carries a docket of expansive experience that includes energy, construction, patent infringement, antitrust, banking, and financial industry disputes. Mike is a military veteran, currently serving on the Houston Bar Association’s Military and Veteran’s Committee, and is co-managing partner of the firm.

Mike’s recent case docket and successes include:

Jury trial win for Kinder Morgan in $20+ million breach of contract and fraud matter brought by Russian-Funded start-up – Mike was lead trial counsel co-lead counsel in the $200 million O&G transactional malpractice defense for Winston & Strawn LLP co-lead counsel for Ryan LLC in complex plaintiff’s trade secrets case  successful resolution of a $100 million+ contingent plaintiff’s case for E&P client Lone Star Production Company representation of Trustmark National Bank in three lawsuits involving damages of over $5 billion in damages related to the collapse of the Stanford Financial Group (headed by R. Allen Stanford) confidential settlement secured for private clients – heirs of the late Texas Governor Dolph Briscoe, II – in high-stakes $500 million shareholder derivative suit successful settlement of $15 million will contest for private foundation two defense matters, each with a respective value of $50+ million (one for Pioneer Natural Resources and the other for a confidential client), which he resolved for $0 -- significant “take-nothing” results for his clients.
