Career

Albinas Prizgintas has experience in a wide variety of civil matters, at both the trial and appellate levels. On the trial side, Mr. Prizgintas's practice focuses on commercial disputes, defense of complex class actions and administrative rulemakings. He has represented clients in cases involving the Truth in Lending Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, state consumer protection statutes, and contract and tort claims, among others.

On the appellate side, Mr. Prizgintas has been involved in briefing and oral argument in the US Supreme Court, federal appellate courts, and state supreme courts. Before the US Supreme Court in particular, Mr. Prizgintas has prepared merits briefs, petitions for and oppositions to certiorari, and amicus briefs in cases involving diverse matters including the Takings Clause, the Equal Protection Clause, the right against self-incrimination, the right of self-representation, the Federal Arbitration Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the False Claims Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and Title VII, among others. Mr. Prizgintas has presented oral argument in the Ninth Circuit.

Mr. Prizgintas joined the firm in 2012. He previously served for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul L. Friedman of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Prizgintas was previously a law firm fellow with the Barbara McDowell Appellate Advocacy Project and Family Law Unit of the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia. While pursuing his legal education, Mr. Prizgintas was a judicial intern to the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
