Career
Drawing on her experience in the White House and US Senate, Lauren Moore advises clients on government and regulatory enforcement, public policy issues and crisis readiness. She provides strategic counsel to clients facing complex issues at the intersection of law, politics, public policy, and media. Ms. Moore’s clients span a variety of industries, including health care and insurance companies, financial institutions, technology and software companies, accounting firms, and private foundations and other nonprofit entities.
Ms. Moore is a leading advisor to private foundations, community foundations, family offices, and donors. She represents philanthropies and donors in federal agency investigations, congressional investigations, and state attorneys general investigations, and she provides regular counsel and risk management advice across several areas of grantmaking. She brings a mission-first approach to her representations, providing strategic counsel to help clients align legal compliance with organizational goals and charitable impact.
Over the past decade, Ms. Moore has also advised clients on a range of congressional matters. She regularly advises clients on all aspects of the congressional inquiry process, including document requests, briefings, transcribed interviews, and hearings. She advises on complex public policy matters, including civil rights policy, international engagement and trade policy, climate and energy policy, health care, and H-1B and other non-immigrant visa issues. Ms. Moore also counsels individuals on the Senate confirmation process.
Ms. Moore previously served in the White House Counsel’s Office, where she advised on civil rights legal and policy matters. In that role, she worked closely with senior officials across federal government, including Department of Justice officials and agency general counsels. She also led the preparation of multiple executive orders and legislative priorities.
Before that, Ms. Moore served on the US Senate Judiciary Committee, where she helped lead preparation for judicial confirmation and oversight hearings. She advised on questions for public hearings, led policy proposals, and regularly engaged with external stakeholders and media.
