Phil Spyropoulos is a partner in the financial services team, advising institutions in the asset management sector as well as multinationals in other sectors.

He is known for providing clear, commercially grounded advice on evolving regulatory expectations and their practical impact on clients. Phil works closely with clients on novel, complex and strategically important projects, often with a multi jurisdictional element, and is regularly involved in industry engagement, including responding to regulatory consultations and contributing to market wide initiatives.

Phil’s core practice centres on the structuring, establishment and operation of FCA authorised and retail focused investment vehicles, accounts and wrappers. He has significant experience supporting fund launches, mergers, restructurings and closures, alongside advising on ongoing governance, distribution and compliance matters.

Alongside his funds practice, Phil advises non financial multinational groups on the application of EU sustainability regulation, including the practical implications of corporate sustainability regimes. He works closely with in house legal, compliance and sustainability teams to help organisations navigate evolving obligations and implementation risk.
