Jake is a Senior Associate in the Eversheds Sutherland corporate group and part of its Tech M&A and Venture practice.

He advises on both domestic and international corporate transactional work including core M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, strategic reorganisations, and general corporate governance matters.

Jake is mostly focused on the technology and media sectors and has developed his expertise in those specific fields. His professional practice is, however, dedicated to serving a wide array of domestic and international clients across various industries.

Jake has completed a 6-month full-time secondment to Johnson Matthey Plc, a world leader in sustainable technologies, as Senior Legal Counsel (M&A). In this role he led the delivery of legal support for JM's Group Corporate Development and Strategy team on a variety of corporate matters, with a particular focus on M&A, joint ventures, divestments, and partnerships. During his training contract, Jake undertook a placement with the Eversheds Sutherland Legal Technology team where he developed a keen interest in how legal technology deployed effectively empowers client service delivery.
