Ankit is a Partner in the firm’s Corporate/M&A team and a core member of its Financial Services M&A practice. He advises on a wide range of domestic and cross border transactions across the financial services sector, with particular experience advising asset managers, wealth platforms, fintechs and other regulated financial institutions. His transactional experience includes strategic acquisitions and disposals, minority investments, joint ventures and complex platform build outs, and he regularly advises financial sponsors active in the sector.

Ankit is also a senior member of the firm’s India Group and leads its cross border corporate and M&A practice relating to India. He routinely advises clients on cross-border transactions involving links to India.

He brings a strong commercial and pragmatic perspective to his advisory work, developed through extensive in house experience gained via secondments at leading international financial institutions. These include roles within investment and asset management businesses, global investment banks, and sovereign wealth fund platforms.

Ankit holds a Master of Laws from Cornell Law School and is qualified in England & Wales, New York and India.
