Sarah Kopec is a Senior Associate in the Financial Services team at Eversheds Sutherland, based in London. She advises asset managers, investment trusts and other financial institutions on a broad range of UK and cross border investment funds matters.

Working across the Financial Services team, Sarah advises on both open- and closed-ended funds, giving her a valuable understanding into the asset management industry. This includes supporting clients throughout the full lifecycle of a fund, from structuring and establishment through to ongoing regulatory compliance, variations, mergers and wind downs.

Sarah regularly advises on complex and evolving fund structures and statuses including ACSs, PAIFs and CAIFs, as well as regulatory regimes including OFR, CCI, and SDR. Notably, Sarah acted as lead associate on the adoption of the first SDR label in the industry.

Her practice also encompasses FCA applications, investor and regulatory communications, fund documentation and large scale transition and change projects within the asset management sector. Sarah is experienced in managing multi workstream matters involving legal, regulatory and operational considerations, and works closely with client in house teams and service providers to deliver coordinated, commercially focused outcomes.
