Rebecca Houghton is a Senior Associate at Eversheds Sutherland, who is dual-qualified in employment and immigration law. She supports global organisations in facilitating international mobility, advising on enabling employees to work in the UK and on recruiting talent from overseas.

Rebecca is able to support clients on all issues arising from the recruitment of migrant workers in the UK (e.g. advising on complex Skilled Worker applications and providing complex discrimination risk advice in relation to immigration issues), through to supporting clients with managing right to work dismissals and defending civil penalties.

Her experience extends to global mobility matters, where she has significant experience managing multi-jurisdiction immigration helplines, coordinating right to work projects, supporting remote working arrangements, and assisting with outbound visa applications.

Rebecca acts for a range of prominent clients, including FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, as well as US and European listed and headquartered organisations. She has particular experience in the consumer, technology, and energy sectors.

Rebecca was a finalist for ‘Rising Star’ in the Northern Law Awards in 2022, named as a ‘Tomorrow’s Leader’ in the Global Mobility Lawyer 2025 Survey and shortlisted for the ‘Global Mobility Leader of Tomorrow’ at the International Employment Lawyer Awards 2025.
