Fiona Otter is an Associate specialising in immigration within the education sector. She advises a broad range of organisations on student and skilled worker sponsorship, immigration compliance, strategic risk management and operational delivery.

Fiona regularly supports clients with immigration compliance audits and has attended numerous UKVI student sponsor inspections, representing clients in engagement with UKVI. She advises on sponsor duties, policy interpretation, right to work requirements and complex immigration rules affecting both students and staff.

She is currently undertaking a client secondment involving complex advisory work and a comprehensive review of internal immigration systems, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen policies, processes and compliance controls. Fiona has played a key role in large scale projects, including managing a high volume transactional client account, overseeing right to work and compliance file reviews for over 1,000 individuals, and supporting applicants through student and skilled worker visa processes.
