Paul is the Head of the firm’s Planning and Infrastructure Consenting team in the UK. He has extensive experience in leading the legal input to achieve development consent for nationally significant infrastructure projects and planning permission for other major development proposals. His practice encompasses a wide array of sectors, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, gas generation, electricity transmission, wave and tidal energy, rail freight, water, aviation and residential projects. Paul works with clients to develop a successful planning strategy against legal and policy requirements, advises them on legal compliance with regulatory frameworks including those under the environmental impact and habitats regulations assessment regulations, and leads the presentation of applications at public examinations and hearings.
