Simon Davies is a partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s Clean Energy team in London and a member of the firm’s Global Energy Group. He advises developers, utilities, corporates and financial investors on commercial and regulatory matters across the clean energy sector. Simon’s practice focuses on commercial agreements and advisory work including route to market and offtake arrangements, energy commodities and trading structures, subsidy regimes, and grid connection matters. He regularly supports corporate decarbonisation strategies, including the procurement of renewable power, green gas and hydrogen, private wire projects and related optimisation arrangements.

He co leads the firm’s EMEA PPA practice and has led negotiations on a significant volume of clean power transactions across the UK and Europe, spanning offshore and onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects. Simon also advises clients on emerging energy transition issues, including hydrogen procurement models and the interface between policy, regulation and bankability.

Alongside transactional work, Simon is active in thought leadership on power markets, connections reform and energy transition developments, advising clients navigating regulatory change across European energy markets.
